![]() ![]() And I guess God gave me a platform from sports, but I feel like my biggest mission and calling is so much different and more important than a game would ever be, and I think it’s to love Jesus and love people. We’re talking with NFL and MLB star Tim Tebow, singer Merry Clayton, and actor Dean Cain. įor this very special episode, we have three guests who have all experienced their share of scars from the hard parts of life, but have found a way to see their scars as badges of honor, and they recognize how God has strengthened them through their pain so that they can reach others with His message of love and healing. Many thanks to you-our listeners-for coming back to our show week after week to hear the stories of real people, just like yourself, who have found hope and peace in the Word of God and in Jesus Calling. This week we celebrate a special landmark-our 300th episode. Narrator: Welcome to the Jesus Calling Podcast. God Uses Us Through Our Scars: Tim Tebow, Merry Clayton, & Dean Cain – Episode #300 Because sometimes, it really does feel like you’re living a rollercoaster, but we get to get off, and we get to hold on to a firm foundation, and that’s the Word of God. I believe that God has a divine design for every single one of us. I don’t think we’re here by happenstance. You're looking in the wrong place Dean.Tim Tebow: I believe every single one of us has been given a mission. Now when I look at all the women associated with him, Pamela Anderson, Gabrielle, Mindy, and Samantha, not one of them has a Winona Ryder look about them. I remember years ago when Dean appeared on UK Tv for the first time in the BBC Live and Kicking show (Saturday am) and he was asked who his ideal woman was and he answered Winona Ryder. I just can't believe all the negativity Dean gets - come on girls, think positive an5b4d it will happen. He's still only 41, he needs a bit of luck - my other favourite actor Viggo Mortensen, was around 41 when he did the Lord of the Rings and he's gone from strength to strength. I could definitely see Dean as an action hero - he would have been great in the 'Bourne' trilogy. He can't feel too great to see Teri Hatcher being at the top again - she doesn't deserve it one little bit. He had plenty of opportunity to stretch himself as Clark Kent which he pulled off just brilliantly. I can't believe that Dean isn't valued as an actor - I agree his Clark Kent was perfect and to me he WAS Clark Kent - Superman was just a sideline. I watched Mr right again yesterday, and i now believe it is the clothes/hair and styling which is making him look a little rough around the edges - if you watch the scene where he is wearing the beanie hat - he looks very much like the younger dean. Maybe the weight and hair were designated for the film, he has several parts completed/in production, an i hope he continues to get plenty of varied roles and be on our screen for a while yet He has an excellent ability to bring on screen chemistry, no matter how great or poor the actress he is acting across from, he just needs to be given a chance ![]() He brought the part of clark kent to the screen perfectly, and i think it is a shame that teri has managed to land a great high profile role and he hasn't. which is a shaame considering he is such a great actor. ![]() I think that he has had the curse of superman - in an interview he did regarding his part in lost as jerermy staunton (i have yet to see this - being in the UK it is difficult to get hold of shows like this, plus i have only recently become a fan of deans) he said he wasn't valued as an actor - he was just the superman guy. ![]()
